Documents, floor, and visitors

Look at the paperwork, not the adjectives

Every claim on this site traces back to something on this page. The certificate scans are reproduced as we hold them. The floor photographs are our own building in Shenzhen. The visitors are the engineering teams who booked a trip to check us in person.

On file

Certificates and test reports

These are scans of the documents in our quality file, published without alteration so you can read the issuing body, the standard and the dates for yourself. Where a scan is older than the certificate we currently hold, ask and we will send the current one together with the surveillance audit record behind it.

ISO 9001 quality management system certificate, English issue, showing the certificate number and validity dates
ISO 9001 quality management system English issue, China Quality Certification Centre
ISO 9001 and GB/T 19001 quality management system certificate in Chinese, scope covering electronic component, circuit board and electronic product design and processing
ISO 9001 / GB/T 19001 Chinese issue, scope covers PCB design and processing
Chinese quality management system certificate for electronic component, circuit board and electronic product design and processing
Quality management system Chinese issue, same scope, kept for domestic tenders
RoHS certificate of compliance for a four-layer PCB tested to IEC 62321:2008
RoHS certificate of compliance Tested to IEC 62321:2008, third-party laboratory
CE certificate of compliance citing the EMC directive and the EN 55022 and EN 61000 test standards
CE certificate of compliance EMC directive, EN 55022 and EN 61000 standards cited

What each document covers. The ISO 9001 certificate is issued by the China Quality Certification Centre and scoped to electronic components, circuit boards and electronic product design and processing. That is the scope that matters for a PCB buyer, and it is the line to read rather than the certificate number. The RoHS report is a certificate of compliance for a four-layer PCB tested to IEC 62321:2008, which is the test method for restricting the six substances; it names the sample it applies to. The CE document cites the EMC directive with EN 55022 and EN 61000-1 standards, so it supports an EMC submission rather than replacing one.

What these documents are not. None of them is a quality award, and none of them says anything about a board you have not ordered yet. A certificate tells you a system was audited on a date. What it cannot tell you is whether the panel we build next month will hold 0.1 mm spacing. That comes from the first-article report and the inspection record on your own job, which is why we send both with the shipment rather than pointing at a wall of frames.

Five documents: three quality-management certificates and two substance and EMC compliance reports. Scans are reproduced at full resolution, so the issuing body, the standard and the validity dates can all be read without asking us for a better copy. If a date on a scan is older than the certificate we currently hold, say so and we will send the current one with the surveillance audit record behind it.

The floor

The stations a visitor is walked through

Photographed in our own building, not licensed. If you cannot visit yet, ask for a live video walkthrough of any station on this page and we will film it while you are on the call.

Visitors

Customers who came to check

Most of our orders begin with a factory visit, and most visitors arrive with an audit checklist in hand. These are unposed photographs from those visits, published with the customers' agreement.

Visiting and remote audit

How to audit us without flying here

Most customers who audit us do it in three passes, and only the last one needs a flight. First, read the documents on this page and ask for the ones that are missing from it, we would rather answer that before you book anything. Second, take a live video walkthrough: pick a station, we walk to it with the phone and you direct where to look, which is faster than a site visit for a first screening and harder to stage than a video we recorded ourselves. Third, come in person if the project justifies it. Visitors are asked for a passport copy in advance for the gate pass, and ESD coats are provided, so no special equipment is needed.

If you would rather send an auditor than come yourself, we host third-party inspections on your behalf and will work to the checklist your auditor brings. The report goes to you, not to us, and we do not see it before you do.

Document pack

Documents we send before you place an order

Send a Gerber and a BOM and you get three things back within 24 hours, at no cost and with no NDA needed for the quotation itself: a price with the material and finish itemised, a DFM report naming anything that will be hard to build, and the document pack for this page as PDFs. If you want the NDA first, we sign yours or send ours, either way the files stay with the engineers on your job.

After an order is placed the paperwork changes from marketing to record: a signed first-article report before the run is released, in-process inspection data as it is collected, and a certificate of conformance, test report and impedance readings with the shipment. For medical, automotive and power work the same set arrives with the traceability record attached, at the level agreed at NPI.

Before you commit

Ask for the documents, and read them yourself

Send us your Gerber and BOM and we will return a quotation, a DFM report and the document pack together, before you place an order, and without asking you to sign anything first.
