Milestones

Twenty-eight years, told in capability stages

Only the founding year is documented, so the rail below is built from the stages of capability rather than from launch dates. We would rather leave a year out than invent one.

Six stages on one rail: founded in Shenzhen in 1998; PCB fabrication in-house to 58 layers; SMT assembly with Yamaha and ASM placement; a certified quality system audited by SGS; automotive and medical process capability with PPAP, IMDS and Class 3 documentation; and today nine SMT lines serving more than sixty countries. 01

Founded in Shenzhen, 1998

Saturn (Shenzhen) Industrial Co., Ltd. is established in Bao'an as a private manufacturer on the 107 National Highway. The company that signs your contract is the plant that builds the boards, there is no trading layer in between.

02

PCB fabrication brought in-house

Lamination, drilling and plating move under the same roof as assembly: 1–58 layers, 2–8 layers as the standard band, FR-4 from Tg 130 °C to high-Tg 170 °C and above, mechanical drill to 0.2 mm, laser micro-via to 0.1 mm, 6 mil line and space as the cost-optimum standard, and impedance held to ±10% on board-edge TDR coupons.

03

SMT assembly with Yamaha and ASM placement

Placement capability grows to nine SMT lines: Yamaha YSM20R heads rated at 72,000 CPH handle high-mix work while ASM SIPLACE X4iS lines reach 80,000 CPH single-line capability, all at ±25 µm and from 01005 passives up to BGA at 0.25 mm pitch. Through-hole work runs on 4–5 DIP lines, including wave and programmable selective soldering.

04

One certified quality system over every line

A certified ISO 9001 quality management system now covers design, manufacturing, assembly and test, audited every year by SGS, with UL 796 recognition for board manufacturing. Workmanship is judged to IPC-A-610 Class 2 & 3 workmanship, the bare board to IPC-A-600 and IPC-6012, and solder joints to J-STD-001, ten inspection gates from incoming material to the shipping carton.

05

Automotive and medical process capability

AEC-Q100 and Q200 components, thermal vias under power devices and 1,000 temperature cycles from −55 to +125 °C support automotive programmes with PPAP and IMDS documentation. Medical work adds IPC-6012 Class 3 documentation, ionic cleanliness at or below 1.56 µg/cm² and serialised traceability to the lot.

06

Today: 9 SMT lines, 4–5 DIP lines, 60+ countries

Thirteen thousand part numbers a month leave one plant in Xixiang Street, supported by 5,000+ verified component suppliers, 150,000+ customers and 500,000+ products delivered. Overseas customers visit and audit the plant as part of their supplier qualification, the visit is arranged, not avoided.

Factory-direct

The counterparty is the factory, not an agent

You are quoting with the company that laminates the board, places the parts and signs the inspection record. Which is why answers about dates, changes and problems come back without a translation step.

  • Own production, not brokered production: 9 SMT lines, 4–5 DIP lines and 1–58 layer lamination in one building on the 107 National Highway, so the schedule you are promised is the schedule we control.
  • No MOQ: prototypes start at one piece and run on the same nine lines as a 50,000-piece series, with no volume commitment needed to unlock the price.
  • Engineering review inside 24 hours and a free DFM report before the purchase order, so the stackup, panelisation and test strategy are agreed in writing before tooling or material is committed.
  • One quality system on every line: ISO 9001 certified processes, ANSI/ESD S20.20 handling, lead-free reflow at a 245–260 °C peak and 3D AOI on every board.

Three differences

Why buyers stay after the first order

Three things decide whether a Chinese supplier is a one-off purchase or a ten-year relationship. These are ours, stated in the terms we can prove.

  • Factory-direct economics. No middleman margin and no relayed questions: nine SMT lines, 4–5 DIP lines and 1–58 layer lamination sit in the same building that answers your email. When a date moves, and with 2026 material lead times of 6–8 weeks on FR-4 laminate and 20–50+ weeks on MLCC, dates do move, you hear it from the plant that owns the schedule, not from a reseller waiting on someone else.
  • Engineering partnership, not order-taking. The DFM review is free and happens before the purchase order: annular ring at 0.15 mm minimum, solder-mask bridge at 0.1 mm, silkscreen at 0.15 mm line width with 0.8 mm character height at 1:5, via-in-pad, castellation and panelisation inside a 600 × 1200 mm working area. Test fixtures and functional-test scripts are developed together with your engineering team rather than bought in.
  • A supply chain you can audit. 5,000+ verified suppliers with authorised distribution as the default channel, traceability to date code and lot, and no spot-market or broker parts without your written approval. When a part reaches end-of-life, you get a documented alternative proposal, pin-compatible options first, instead of an unannounced substitution on the line.

One-stop, defined

One plant, six production stages

"One-stop" is a vague word, so here is the boundary: six stages between your first drawing and a boxed, serialised product on a pallet.

Six production stages under one purchase order Stage one, design and engineering: DFM review, stackup, panelisation and test strategy. Stage two, PCB fabrication: one to fifty-eight layers, boards up to 600 by 1200 millimetres, ENIG finish and impedance held to plus or minus ten percent. Stage three, tooling, moulding and hardware: injection moulding, sheet metal and cable harness. Stage four, component sourcing: more than five thousand verified suppliers dealing through authorised channels. Stage five, PCBA: nine SMT lines and four to five DIP lines with a lead-free reflow peak of 245 to 260 degrees. Stage six, finished goods and shipping: box build, serialisation and delivery to more than sixty countries. ONE-STOP COVERAGE, SIX STAGES, ONE PURCHASE ORDER 01 DESIGN & ENGINEERING DFM review, stackup, panelisation, test strategy 02 PCB FABRICATION 1–58 layers · 600 × 1200 mm ENIG · impedance ±10% 03 TOOLING, MOULDING, HARDWARE Injection moulding, sheet metal, cable harness 04 COMPONENT SOURCING 5,000+ verified suppliers Authorised channels first 05 PCBA, SMT & DIP 9 SMT + 4–5 DIP lines Reflow peak 245–260 °C 06 FINISHED GOODS & SHIP Box build, serialisation CoC · FOB Shenzhen · 60+ countries ONE ENGINEERING TEAM · ONE ISO 9001 SYSTEM · ONE SET OF SHIPPING DOCUMENTS

Moulding, injection and hardware, component sourcing, PCBA and finished-goods assembly all report into the same quality system, which is why a single purchase order can cover material, boards, assembly and the box. And why a change in one stage is visible to the others before it becomes a shortage.

The plant

Four views of the floor you would audit

Not a rented office with a meeting room: the aisles, printing bays and assembly benches where the work actually happens.

People

The team, and the customers who visit

Overseas buyers qualify a factory by walking it. These are the walks: engineering reviews, line tours and the production team that signs the records.

Customer visit on the SMT floor

Visiting engineers put on ESD coats and walk the lines, review the first-article parts and check the AOI station before a series order is released.

International visitors on the aisle

Buyers from 60+ countries have toured this aisle. A visit can be arranged around your audit checklist, including solder-paste, X-ray and ICT records.

The production team

The operators who run the nine SMT and 4–5 DIP lines are the people who complete the inspection records that travel with your shipment.

DFM findings are walked through with your engineering team before the purchase order: stackup, panelisation, finish, test coverage and the lead time you can quote onward.

Engineering review in 24 hours

Start with the files. Meet the engineers.

Send a Gerber, a BOM and a pick-and-place file, or a plain description of the project. An engineer reviews it and replies within one working day, with a quotation and a free DFM report before any purchase order.
