What is the lead time for a prototype versus production?

Two clocks. With material in hand, bare boards run 24 hours for 2 layers up to 50 pieces under 1 square metre, 5 days for 2 and 4 layers under 1 square metre with a 48-hour expedite, 7 days for 6 and 8 layers and 10 days for 10 layers and above; PCBA runs 10-15 days, or 5-7 days expedited. With material to be sourced, add the 2026 market: standard FR-4 laminate 6-8 weeks, MLCCs 20-50+ weeks, automotive MCUs and FPGAs 52+ weeks.

Within 24 hours, and the reply carries DFM feedback rather than a price on its own. The DFM review before the purchase order is free.

Do you support prototype-to-production consistency?

Yes. The same nine SMT lines, 3D SPI before placement, 3D AOI on 100% of boards, X-ray on a minimum of 5 boards per batch and ICT at 3,072 points or flying probe with 4 heads. The first article is reported with photographs and each run is compared against it.

Which file formats do you accept?

Gerber RS-274X or X2, ODB++ or IPC-2581, Excellon drill files, a BOM in Excel or CSV, pick-and-place data in CPL or CSV, plus stackup and impedance requirements and a DXF or DWG of the mechanical outline. Native CAD files are not required.

Will you sign an NDA?

Accepted Answer

Yes, before any file transfer, including an NDA covering non-use, non-disclosure and non-circumvention. Your data is not shared with other customers and is never used to build for another buyer. Production follows export-control-aware procedures with documented denied-party screening.

Can you source components, or do I supply them?

Accepted Answer

All three models: full turnkey, partial supply with the balance sourced by us, or full consignment. Our qualified supplier pool is over 5,000 vendors and the default channel is authorised distribution.

What if a part is obsolete or out of stock?

You receive a proposed alternate with a parameter comparison and its CoC or IMDS documentation, and nothing is substituted without your written approval. Life-cycle BOM management flags end-of-life parts during the DFM review, which matters when MLCC lead times run 20-50+ weeks.

How do you guarantee component authenticity?

Authorised or qualified channels only, IQC incoming inspection that checks production date code, quantity and solderability on every receipt, and lot traceability that ties a delivered board back to the component production date code. Open-market or broker stock is not used without written approval.

Terms are stated on the quotation itself, series orders can be split into staged payments, and the currency and invoicing basis are confirmed with the quotation.

ISO 9001:2015 certified covering design, manufacturing, assembly and test, audited annually by SGS. UL 796 recognised for printed wiring board manufacture. RoHS and REACH compliant with per-board material declarations. IPC-A-600, IPC-6012, IPC-A-610 Class 2 & 3 workmanship and J-STD-001 applied across the process, and active IPC membership. IATF 16949 and ISO 13485 are stated as process capability with PPAP, IMDS and serialised traceability documentation; ISO 14001 describes environmental management practices.

How do you handle defects and RMA?

A claim is judged: workmanship against IPC-A-610 Class 2 and Class 3, hidden joints against J-STD-001, and shipment sampling against AQL ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (general inspection level II, single sampling, normal severity, AQL 0.65 for major defects). The evidence chain is 3D AOI coverage on 100% of boards and X-ray on a minimum of 5 boards per batch, with serialisation where the build requires it.

Can I get samples or a first article?

Yes. With no MOQ you can order a single validation piece, and a first-article inspection report with photographs is available for series releases. The first board is signed off on the JCX FAI830 station before the line is released to volume.

How are engineering changes handled?

Through a written ECN or PCN with an impact assessment covering cost, lead time, tooling and the inspection programme. Nothing is executed on a verbal instruction.

What standard decides an AOI or X-ray result?

3D AOI runs on 100% of boards on every SMT line against the IPC-A-610 class you specify, and X-ray voiding, ball shape and bridging are judged to J-STD-001 on a minimum of 5 boards per batch. Industry data puts AOI defect capture at 85-95%, which is why electrical and functional test sit behind it.

What shipping methods and cost logic apply?

Express courier for shipments under 45 kg, air freight from 45-150 kg, sea LCL above 1 CBM and sea FCL for full containers, with door-to-door available. Freight is quoted on the actual weight, volume and lane for your order.

How are the boards packed against moisture and static?

Accepted Answer

Into a metallised static-shielding bag and a moisture-barrier bag, vacuum sealed with a desiccant pack and a humidity indicator card, closed with a dry packaging label stating the MSL level and the seal date. Floor life is MSL 3 at 168 hours and MSL 5a at 24 hours, and a part that exceeds it is rebaked at 125 掳C for 9 hours when the body is 1.4 mm or less.

Who handles tariff and duty?

FOB Shenzhen applies to sea freight only and air shipments move FCA Shenzhen Airport; CIF, EXW and DDP are also available, and under DDP the buyer remains the importer of record. Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of conformance and test reports travel with the goods, and a non-preferential certificate of origin or an FTA/RCEP certificate can be issued on request. Bare PCB is HS 8534.00; assembled PCBA is classified by function. Tariff status as of September 2026.
